Introduction

Christine Valenza is a pioneer in the field of Graphic Facilitation. She has worked all over the world co-creating environments where necessary change can occur.
Her current focus is coaching beginners as well as seasoned practitioners in her home in Sausalito.
For the last two years she has been working with an Action Learning Team at IMD University in Lausanne, Switzerland.  This team considers graphic facilitation and visual thinking to be critical productivity tools in their approach to innovation and problem solving. Interventions have been with companies such as Canon Europe, ING Bank, e-ON,  Heineken, and Masterfoods.
Christine has also been a co-designer of many large scale change interventions ( up to 400 people), anchored in methodologies such as Appreciative Inquiry, Future Search, and Open Space.
She is just as comfortable working with small strategic groups to create a shared workspace.

"My role is to make the group’s whole process explicit and visual as a means of facilitating learning and understanding. As I listen I am grasping meaning as well as the words, listening for patterns of thought while seeking connections and themes. I then summarize the content in key words and images and create synthesis from observed patterns and connections in the content."       —Christine Valenza

Christine is a founding member of the International Forum of Visual Practitioners.
