Speakers, Formal and Informal
Thanks to a strong response to our Request for Proposals, we've got a great lineup of presenters for our 2008 Conference. Please visit our Agenda page for all the details, and to meet our speakers.

But wait! There's a less formal way you can contribute to the conference, please read on -

Got something to share?

a chart?               a project?                a case study?

a topic begging discussion?       a problem to solve?

a template you’ve developed?         software to share?

We are opening up Thursday and Friday afternoons for
Open Interest Space

You will have an opportunity to stroll among a variety of presentations and topic conversations at tables stationed around the room. Anyone interested in doing so can host a table with the topic of their choice.

Some sessions will be planned in advance and space will be open for spontaneous offerings as well. If you want to plan an Open Interest Space, we recommend connecting to our themes:

Thursday's theme:
The Tools We Use: Processes & Technology
Friday's theme:
The People We Work With: Individuals and Groups.
possible topics: possible topics:
demonstrate using Tablet PCs
demostrate using Wacom tablets
a digital camera tutorial
a tutorial in cleaning up digital photos using image editing software
a favorite facilitation process to share
a great case study of a template or process used
[insert your great idea here!]
storytelling
conflict resolution
case studies (large groups, diverse groups, a specific industry and its challenges)
coaching
counselling
[insert your great idea here!]

We start out each afternoon with three 20 minute segments, so you can rotate three times to visit various presenters/topic leaders and discover the highlights of their topic and participate in questions/answers. Each presenter will work with a small group in an informal setting. Presenters are invited to prepare handouts or bring materials that will aid discussion.

The second half of the afternoon is reserved for you to dive deeper into the topic of your choice, questions, discussing, etc. These Open Interest Space afternoons are designed to let you choose what you're most interested in teaching and learning.

We will close each afternoon with the small groups merging and sharing some highlights of what they learned and discussed.

Please contact Laurie at laurie@positiveculture.ca with ideas you want to develop in advance for sharing with others. We'll happily post your name and topic to the site to stir up interest in your discussion!
