Where to Stay

Chicago is chock full of rooms. We've planned our tiny conference when there weren’t any giant conferences taking over Chicago's hotels.

Featured Hotel
We've made arrangements with the Club Quarters for a group rate to IFVP Conference attendees. The Club Quarters is located at 75 E Wacker Dr in downtown Chicago. It is 2.5 blocks (0.25 miles) away from our conference location at Summit Executive Centre. We've reserved 40 rooms on a first come, first served basis (Wacker location only).

Add 15.4% room tax for Chicago. $15 per person will be charged for double occupancy. Note: There are no king beds at this hotel.

For reservations, call the Club Quarters Reservations Office during business hours at 312-601-3400 to reserve their rooms before the cut-off date of June 5, 2008. Any reservations after the cut-offdate will be subject to availability. Individuals should identify themselves with Summit Conference Center and use group code SUM805.

To support many of you who will wish to spend additional time in Chicago, IFVP has negotiated the special conference rate for 3 days on either side of the conference (8/3/08 to 8/11/0). Come early or stay late – you’ll pay the discounted hotel rate while enjoying the city of Chicago.

Additionally, the Summit lists seven hotels on their site all within very easy walking distance. Note: Summit has posted PDFs of walking directions to all of these hotels.)

If the Club Quarters is not for you, you are welcome to investigate these other options (or any other hotel in Chicago). Please note however, that the conference committee has not entered into any agreements with these other hotels.

Hostel
For students, hostelling fans or penny pinchers, Chicago Hostelling International is one mile south of the Summit. There is no age limit at this 500 bed hostel. It is the 2006 and 2007 winner of Best Large Hostel Worldwide.
