We're thrilled that you are considering membership in the International Forum of Visual Practitioners (IFVP). There are several advantages to being connected to a creative, vibrant and thriving group of like-minded visual practitioners. Sharing ideas, combining resources, bouncing ideas off of or asking for input from the membership at large through the list-serv as well as attending the annual conference are just some of the reasons to join. As our field of work expands, we also look to new members to bring fresh enthusiasm and new ideas to the table as it is through these experiences that we all learn and grow!

Wondering what else your membership will provide for you? Here are a few answers to that question!
	If you are an independent contractor without access to affordable health care coverage, the IFVP has formed an alliance with an association of arts professionals called Fractured Atlas. This alliance qualifies our members for FA's basic health and dental insurance programs, as well as a free prescription card.
	As a member, you will receive your own website page on the IFVP Member Directory. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your work and allow others to see the uniqueness of your skills. Members who have created their personal site have received significant employment opportunities from those looking to hire a visual practitioner.
	As an IFVP Member, you will also receive a discount on your 2008 IFVP Conference registration.
	We have a dedicated WebTeam that is developing IFVP.org into a powerful resource for building our practice and expertise, as well as raising public awareness about our field.
