Sept. 16 OLS Ep. 13: Greg Gersch on Anthropomorphism

The Online Learning Series, hosted by the IFVP continues on September 16 with Greg Gersch, from Washington DC, USA!

During this episode Greg Gersch will take us through Anthropomorphism (Put a face on it!) and will help us understand how and when to add human features on things in order to: grab attention, enhance connection and ensure retention.

You can make OLS2021 possible!

The IFVP needs your help!

By the end of 2020, IFVP’s OLS - Online Learning Series - will have offered 19 sessions in English and Spanish. The continued feedback received from participants (both members and non-members) is overwhelmingly positive and there is great incentive to continue offering OLS in 2021 and beyond. However, there is a sizable amount of behind the scenes work to successfully run the program. The IFVP is a volunteer organization so that is why we are recruiting for the OLS2021 cohort.

It is time for our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING!

Calling all IFVP members!

It is time for our ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) where the board shares the organization’s updated strategy and goals, projects and initiatives that have been completed or are being worked on, as well as the opportunity for members to speak with the board.

August 18 OLS Ep.12: Anthony Weeks on Listening in Visual Practice: Ethics, Position, and Subjectivity

The Online Learning Series, hosted by the IFVP continues on August 18 with Anthony Weeks, from San Francisco, USA!

During this episode Anthony Weeks will  explore the role of the listener in visual practice.
Specifically, Anthony will invite us to talk and listen together about:
- How do we bring our whole selves to our listening practice while not making it all about us?

OLS coming of age!

Early this year, before we knew we would live in a different world, our IFVP President, Sunny BenBelkacem, shared this idea (inspired from our former president Jenny Trautman) about hosting the Online Learning Series or OLS as we like to call it.

This initiative has three main goals:
1.     Provide our membership with high-quality and free programming.
