Brenda Tan was promoted to Heaven on February 1, 2020. I last spoke with her in January of that year. She was battling cancer and spending her final days with her family. Always full of joy with a never-ending smile, she was truly an inspiration.
During our facetime chat, I thanked her for her dedication and contribution to the success of IFVP and for her love of visual practice. I promised her and her husband, Noel, that her memory would live on in our community with an annual IFVP sponsored scholarship in her name.
Applications for a one-year Premium IFVP membership are now available. Criteria for this scholarship is based on financial need, desire to grow one’s visual practitioner skills, and not be a current or previous IFVP member in the last 2 years. The countries included for participation in applying for the scholarship are Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
We invite current members to honor Brenda and her family by referring friends and colleagues to apply. Applications can be requested from launa@ifvp.org. Please put scholarship in the email subject line.
