IFVP Board meeting October 8

The IFVP Board of Directors met on Saturday morning, October 8. After spending time checking in, we reviewed past minutes, financial reports and updated ourselves on current developments. We are excited that two of our members have had workshops accepted by the IAF for highlighting during Facilitation week (October 17-25). This gives our visual community more exposure among a global group of facilitators who may never have considered using or working with visual approaches.

We are also excited about the rollout of the new Basic Membership and the possibilities it holds for expanding our reach among those who may not be professionals in the field but are curious or learning. The dozens of OLS recordings we have are available to all members, both Premium and Basic, and provide a strong membership benefit and value.

Another current initiative has to do with a business development track for members that would provide insights into starting your business, legal and insurance matters, marketing and other business dimensions of what we do. In seeking to add more value to membership, we are actively working on an improved calendar to help us be aware of the many events and trainings available in our global community. We noted that the nominations process is underway and we will be reviewing these in the next weeks, please nominate those you believe would support the work of the IFVP through board service. We set time in our November meeting to work on our persona project, getting a sense of who our current and potential members are, and what value we can bring to them. Thanks for all of your support for IFVP and its mission to serve members as an international gathering place for shared learning and support.
