IFVP Conference 2020: Cancelation :(

IFVP 25th Anniversary Conference Cancelation Announcement 

Dearest IFVP Member and Visual Practitioners, 
 
Sadly it was only a matter of time. The well-being of our members and supporters, our colleagues and our society is of the utmost importance during this time of Covid-19. And it is this that has led the 25th Anniversary Conference planning team to make the difficult decision to cancel our in-person conference, August 2-5, 2020 in Berkeley, CA. 
 
We see you and we support the visual practitioner. We acknowledge the impact the visual practitioner field has sustained during this VUCA (volatile uncertain complex and ambiguous) time in our world history. We understand the stress, fear, and concern the field is expressing. We hope once travel and work restrictions are loosened, the field will be deployed en masse, visualizing our clients’ design solutions in these troubled times.  
 
Those who have registered will receive refunds. Watch your in boxes for an email from Launa Post at membership@ifvp.org and Leah Silverman at treasurer@ifvp.org, with details on how to get your refund. Please be patient as it will take us some time to contact each of you.
 
This does not mean IFVP will forget about our 25th Anniversary gathering -- this is more of a “See you sometime soon.” The IFVP 25th Anniversary Conference planning team is quickly regrouping and restrategizing. We will reach back out to you when we have new dates for our first ever virtual conference! As a learning organization, designing and hosting a virtual conference will be an exciting experiment for us and we hope you will join in. Meanwhile, stay at home, keep safe and let’s look after each other the best we can.
