Hello IFVP friends,
We are kicking off our two month long invitation for regions to hold gatherings. We've shifted from a conference every year to having regional gatherings in odd years and global summits in even years. Since this is 2023, we're inviting regions to gather and to let us know what you are doing. In 2021 a number of regions met and shared with us their information and materials that you can access on our website under the "conferences" tab. There are amazing materials, videos and zoom recordings that are a rich source of material for our field.
In May we hosted an Online Learning Series zoom call about "Planning a Visual Practitioner Gathering in Your Region". "In this session, members of the IFVP and the visual practitioner community who have put regional gatherings together in the past, share their process, highlights, and lessons learned. Key elements that are needed to put on an event are identified and discussed by an expert panel moderated by IFVP board treasurer, Sarah Spencer." Members can access the full call at the link above.
Board member Sarah Spencer clipped various parts of that call into a series of 2 minute youtube videos that anyone can access.
