IFVP MMM Program: Co-design the mentor mentee program with us!

Join us for our THIRD co-design session with the membership. This is scheduled specifically for the Asia/Pacific time zones. On April 30th, we held our first of these sessions in the Americas time zone. On May 13, we will host the second session scheduled in the European, African, Middle East and East Asian time zone!

Last year, when we surveyed the membership, one of the themes that came out from the question, What are the biggest pain points in your work, that you'd love support with? was “Mentoring and job shadowing. Connect me with people at a local level, so I can shadow them on the job to help me grow my skills.” (pg. 17)

 

With the help of IFVP members Alece Birnbach and Carlo Gilmar Padilla Santana, IFVP is building a Mentor/Mentee Match-up (MMM) program. We believe in the value of mentorship for both the mentor and mentee. We also know that many great learning opportunities present themselves when a mentor and mentee can leverage tools for successful outcomes. 

 

Our MMM program team would like to invite all #IFVPmembers to attend one of these fact-finding workshops to co-design tools (think tips on coaching, lists of questions, goal setting exercises, and other useful things) and a path (think in terms of a roadmap) for mentors and mentees to go on together.  We will design the tools as mentors and mentees, we will open the floor for you to share your wishes and dreams when it comes to visual practitioner mentor/mentee programs, and have a little bit of virtual networking fun together.
