With Reilly Dow and Jessica Riehl
Live sessions January 26, February 2 and February 9, 2023 - from 10:00 - 11:30 AM PST / 12:00 - 1:30PM Central Time (click here to convert to your timezone). All live sessions will be recorded and available for viewing if you are not able to attend during those dates and times.
No prior drawing experience is required to participate. You may be familiar with sketchnoting, mind mapping, or other visual methods, and interested in learning how to integrate them into your work and use them in a facilitative way.
The program is designed to support participants in taking initial steps in learning to scribe, in service of collective seeing, meaning-making and navigation. We will combine tools, practice, theory, and peer learning to explore the following:
- A model of learning to help us orient to the visual practice journey
- What is scribing?
- Markers, paper and supplies
- Intro to digital scribing
- Lettering and drawing
- Levels of listening and levels of scribing
- Layout and use of space on the page
- Discernment and choice-making in scribing
