I'm Tul Lekutai, a visual practitioner from Thailand. I worked as a trained architect for 13 years before transitioning
to this new profession for the past 10 years. My first experience at the IFVP conference in DC 2016 allowed me to
meet like-minded people from around the world, making me feel like I belonged to this community.
According to visual practitioners, graphic recorders, or visual facilitators, most of us have heard of AI in the past 2-3 years.
AI is capable of generating images from text, text-to-video clips, and more. Can AI replace us in the near future?
I believe that one day AI will have abilities beyond those of general humans and will do many of the current tasks performed
by humans. However, AI still has a gap in critical thinking, especially when interpreting text and generating images. AI lacks
the awareness of cultural interpretation that humans possess. The blog picture generated by AI (as a concept of a journey into
the unpredictable future) is good, but it doesn't quite capture what I had in mind. Therefore, I believe AI replacement is not
likely to happen soon.
Looking forward to hear your thoughts. Thank you.
