Are you certain you have the right tools for your job? Do you want to improve your drawing or your use of graphics? Do your charts need a little oomph? Do you want to develop your listening skills or practice your storytelling? Have your online meetings become stale?
Each month IFVP offers online workshops on these topics and more. Our Online Learning Series (OLS) has been a member benefit feature in place since 2020. Registration is required to participate in the zoom sessions on day of workshop. Although there is no fee to attend, we understand that scheduling conflicts arise, and you may have missed something of interest. The recorded OLS sessions are only available for free to members.
Log into the IFVP website and explore the choices in the Members dropdown menu. The OLS 2020 Series has 11 English speaking episodes and 7 others presented in Spanish. The OLS 2021 Series offers 10 in English and 2 in Spanish. 2022 has just gotten started with 3 terrific sessions exploring the visual practitioners’ Vision and Goals with Mathias Weitbrecht, Journal Jamming with Katherine Torrini, and gaining an understanding of the “What Ifs” of our Hybrid Future. Karina Branson’s April 20 workshop on Building Connections with Email Marketing just happened, but if you missed it, the recording will be available to you.
We are a generous community. Membership benefits extend beyond getting to learn from our peers. There is also the opportunity for members to lead by sharing their knowledge, tips, and tricks. Convening a workshop is a great way to give back to the community; to network and make new connections; to try out coaching/teaching; or test new material in a safe place.
I want to extend a huge thank you to all the members and leaders in our field who have contributed to the OLS. There is so much more to be shared ahead. As we arrange more Spanish spoken presentations, we also are seeking member volunteers to hold workshops in their language in their appropriate time zones. Do you want to help people in your region know the tools available to them; or help improve their drawing; or help develop their listening; or hold a workshop that you know would be of benefit? We have a dedicated OLS committee just waiting to hear from you to feature you in an OLS episode. Get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org to get on the schedule. Please put OLS presenter in the email subject line.
