[VIRTUAL RETREAT] What Happens When We Go Back? Leading Transition.

Virtual Retreat

This virtual retreat, geared for leaders and entrepreneurs, will look beyond the new normal to explore how we will return as leaders.

About this Event

What happens when we go back? We have begun to embrace the new normal. But when things start to reopen, will we tip toe out or bust down the door?

Retreat Invitation and Intent

In this multi-day virtual retreat, you will be invited to take time and space to step away, focus on yourself and what you need in order to be ready to shift into a post-COVID-19 future with confidence.

The retreat, designed for leaders, entrepreneurs, and those they serve, will provoke insights and kickstart the process of designing the future beyond COVID-19. Over the course of three (3) days together, we will:

  • Dedicate time and space to step away from and outside of our COVID-19 experience to holistically observe and generate fresh learning
  • Guide you through leading practices for visionsetting to take and evolve as you lead others
  • Create the ingredients for designing a robust post-COVID blueprint

We believe the path forward is successfully charted when we can healthfully leverage the learning of our past. Do more for yourself and the world than washing your hands. Go beyond what you think is achievable, and do it with a global community before the opportunity passes.

The essence of leadership is reflecting on why we are here, where we are trying to go, and how this is guiding our day-to-day actions. -- Peter Senge

Program Overview

Day 1, June 2, 2020

We will look back at how we handled ourselves and served others before COVID-19: Where did we focus our time and energy? What was most important to us? What worked and didn’t work for us? How might we take our learning and bring it forward?

Keep Calm and Wash Your Hands. Keep Calm and Stay Home. Keep Calm. Keep.

Day 2, June 3, 2020

We will turn our attention to how we managed ourselves and others during the pandemic: What did we notice at first and as time went on? What impacted us? What story might we be telling ourselves about the future? What is true now? How might we navigate the polarities?

COVID-19 will reshape our world. We don’t know yet when the crisis will end. But we can be sure that by the time it does, our world will look very different. -- Josep Borrell

Day 3, June 4, 2020

We will envision the path forward: What do we anticipate will change? What will others need from us? What will we need from ourselves? What aspirations will guide us in way-making a future informed by the COVID-19 experience?

Everything is always in flow, moving and changing. -- Panta Rei

Throughout the retreat*, you may opt to participate in pre-session mini workshops tailored to nurture your well-being and build your resilience. Using individual reflection, journaling and peer-to-peer conversations, we will challenge you to take a hard look inside and ask powerful questions that illuminate the answers that are already within you. We will encourage you to flex your kinesthetic awareness with yoga and movement to tap into the wisdom of mind-body connection.

Although we recommend joining the full three (3) days to maximize your experience, you have the option to attend for just one (1) or two (2) of the days of your choice. Frequently Asked Questions

What is a virtual retreat?

Think of an in-person retreat experience and imagine bringing that same feeling into your own home. A virtual retreat will resemble a series of online workshops but with much more collaboration and interaction, as a shared experience. We will create an environment where participants can connect and find as much meaning and growth from the connections as they do the content provided. All content will be delivered virtually, through a mix of facilitated group conversation, as well as offline exercises. We also have a Slack channel to provide an active community forum throughout the experience.

Is this more focused on personal or professional growth?

In a world where boundaries are disappearing through technology and the lines of communication are open around the clock, we no longer see a division between growth that benefits us personally from those that benefit us professionally. Recognizing that we will spend roughly 90,000 hours (a third of our lives) on our “work,” it is impossible to see these worlds as separate. The person you are in one is no lesser a version of yourself than in the other. You are you, your whole self, and one you are consistently living into every moment of your life.

Will sessions be recorded?

Retreat time will not be recorded in order to create an open space for dialogue and respect the confidentiality of the participants. We honor your space for growth as sacred to you. If pre-session content will be recorded, you will be notified for your planning purposes.

What about the security of the platform?

We are so glad you asked! Security is a top priority. We have, as much of the world, seen and even experienced the hacking of Zoom. And we have proactively taken measures as advised to secure the space. In the unlikelihood that an event of any uncertainty or an actual breach occurs, you will have contingency guidance provided as we are prepared to pivot when necessary.
